Downgrade and Recovery
Candidate recovery guidance that does not assume older-version downgrade support.
This is candidate guidance for publication pending. Turboism does not currently document support for downgrading to an older version. Do not treat a retained installer or plugin JAR as proof that an older version can be restored safely.
Recover from a failed change
- Stop and assess the failed update, replacement, or configuration change.
- Preserve the configuration, data, and plugin JARs that matter before making further changes.
- Use the recovery information supplied with the same Preview build, if any.
- Reapply a known-good configuration or plugin selection only when the supplied guidance supports it.
- If the issue persists, use Troubleshooting and record the visible behavior without exposing private material.
Plugin replacements
A failed staged plugin replacement may restore the immediately previous plugin files internally. That is not a user-facing historical-version feature and does not establish a general plugin downgrade workflow.

Read Update Policy before changing a build, and see Installer Modes for the candidate Managed Runtime choices. Public release, deployment, automatic recovery, and a complete rollback interface remain pending.
