Independent project

Turboism is an independent open-source project. It is not part of Live2D Inc., is not an official Cubism product, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Live2D Inc.

“Live2D” and “Cubism” are used only to describe compatibility. Cubism, its trademarks, software, files, formats, and the technologies it uses remain the property of their respective rights holders and are governed by their own terms. Turboism does not distribute Cubism or replace its license.

Your files and data

Turboism must not modify, delete, back up, or upload user files without an action or permission from the user. Features that can write files, create backups, connect to a network service, or automate Cubism must remain visible, permission-controlled, and limited to the operation the user requested.

Review plugin permissions before enabling a plugin. Keep backups you control for important work, and do not grant a plugin access that it does not need. If Turboism or a plugin behaves outside these boundaries, stop using the affected feature and report it.

Open-source license

Turboism is released under the MIT License. The license permits use, modification, distribution, sublicensing, and sale, subject to its notice and disclaimer requirements.

The project is intended for personal, educational, research, and community use. The maintainers do not recommend using Preview builds in commercial or production work. This is a safety recommendation, not an additional restriction on the rights granted by the MIT License. Any commercial use must also comply with Cubism’s terms, third-party licenses, applicable law, and the user’s own responsibility for testing, support, security, and data protection.

Turboism is provided without warranty as stated in the MIT License.
